These photographs were taken in 1983 when I spent a year living in Marfa, Texas working on my Big Bend book, "Where Rainbows Wait for Rain." Judd hired me to do photographs of his aluminum boxes for marketing. I spent a full week in the museum catching the light on each box just as I wanted.
